Remembering Queen Elizabeth II

Ruling longer than any other monarch in British history, Queen Elizabeth II supported the arts and cultural sector throughout her years on the throne. During her seventy-year reign, she visited the region many times and no doubt many museums and people working in them across Yorkshire and the Humber have a connection, whether that be via a visit, items within their collection, or perhaps memories about the opening of a gallery or building.

We would love to hear how your organisation is commemorating the life of the late Queen.  MDY is offering the opportunity to share your memories of Her Majesty online.

Please send any information to Victoria.Smith@ymt.org.uk to be included in the news section of our website and in a special Around our Region section in the next ebulletin, published on 23 September (deadline for submissions 21 September).
