Annual Museum Survey 2023
The results of the Annual Museum Survey are now available to view.
This survey covers non-national museums in England who contribute data on their workforce, finance, audiences, and insights. The results of this survey allow us to understand how museums are recovering from the pandemic. This year over 700 museums, 57% of England’s independent, local authority and university governed organisations, contributed. In the North, 45% of museums took part in this survey.
This year our area is covered by a North of England report, rather than a Yorkshire specific one. Scroll through the interactive infographic to see the results.
