Share your thoughts – developing Museum Development North
Further to our recent briefings on changes to the delivery of Museum Development in the North of England from April 2024, we are now inviting your input to this process.
From April 2024, a new Museum Development North will replace the three current providers of Museum Development North East, North West and Yorkshire. It is anticipated that overall funding by Arts Council England for Museum Development will be maintained.
The current MD providers are collaborating on a proposal to jointly deliver this new service, and we are seeking your input to inform our thinking.
Please give us your input

The survey should take around 10 minutes to complete. It will close on Friday 20th January 2023.

Whilst it is convenient for us to collect your views via an online survey, we recognise that this is not desirable for some people. If you would prefer to give your feedback via an alternative means, such as a phone conversation or a written return, please contact us via MDYOffice@ymt.org.uk and we will arrange this with you. It is important to us that we hear from a wide and representative range of museums.
Survey follow-up
As part of the survey process, we are also inviting people from museums to attend either of two online sessions on Thursday January 12th 11am-12pm or Monday January 16th 11am-12pm, where we will present the results to date and invite further discussion.
