Museums+Tech 2018 Programme Announced

Programme Announced for Museums+Tech 2018

Museums+Tech 2018: the collaborative museum will explore how a collaborative and participatory approach to projects can create higher-quality content, bring in new audiences and provide important learning experiences for staff and institutions. Museums Computer Group have now announced the programme for this year’s conference! You can find all of the information on the MCG website.

Tickets are currently on sale for this year’s annual MCG conference, held on 19 October in London at the National Gallery.

MCG members can get the standard ticket rate of £120, but there are a limited number of discounted tickets to MCG members who book early, at only £99. Book now to purchase your conference tickets for the discounted rate before they’re all gone!

Non-MCG members can still join for free and take advantage of this special discount! Talks at this year’s conference include:

  • Exploring the Potential of Digital Making: a collaborative project at the University of Cambridge Museums
  • Disrupting the Archive: the @lgbt_history project and the co-opting of Instagram as an archival space
  • Clash or collaboration? Letting game designers into the museum
  • Democratic innovation? Diversifying museum audiences through participatory digital practice

There’s still more to be announced including full details on all of the sessions, as well as the announcement of our opening keynote. This is shaping up to be a packed and inspiring day!
