MEND 2 – Application Webinar
Museum, Estate and Development (MEND) Fund Round 2
Applicant guidance for the next round of MEND funding is now available. You can view the application guidance here.
MEND is a capital fund targeted at non-national Accredited museums and local authorities based in England to apply for funding to undertake vital infrastructure and urgent maintenance backlogs which are beyond the scope of day-to-day maintenance budgets. It offers grants between £50k and £5m to help museums across England carry out maintenance and improve their infrastructure.
MEND applicant webinar
Arts Council England are hosting a webinar for potential applicants. This will cover information on who can apply, how much they can apply for, and what potential applicants can do to prepare (including key dates and deadlines).
The webinar will take place on 28 April, 10:30 – 12:00. Potential applicants can sign up to the free webinar here.
Following the webinar we will also share recordings.
Expression of Interest
The online Expression of Interest form for MEND will open on Grantium at 9am on 9 May 2022. Expressions of Interest must be submitted by 12pm midday on 17 June 2022.
We advise creating a Grantium account if you haven’t applied for an Arts Council England grant before, as new profiles can take up to ten working days to be approved.
The Cultural Investment Fund (CIF) is an umbrella term for a programme of three funds which aim to drive local growth, improve libraries, and repair museums. We have already awarded £48 million for the first round of funding, CIF 21/22.
Information on LIF 2 and CDF 3 guidance will be released in the coming weeks.
