Developing Resilience and Environmental Sustainability in the Cultural Sector
Event organisers: Julie’s Bicycle and Lapworth Museum of geology.
Join peers from across the country at Birmingham’s Lapworth Museum at a series of one-day workshops to share successful entrepreneurial models of working which can help develop resilience and sustainability within your museum and heritage attraction.
Focusing on economic (revenue generation), social (volunteer management, marketing, audience development) and environmental sustainability, these participatory workshops will take inspiration from leading museum case studies and provide a supportive environment to exchange knowledge and learning, discuss challenges and obstacles, and generate entrepreneurial ideas to take forward.
The workshops are aimed at staff working in museums and other heritage attractions who have a good understanding of both the strategic objectives of their organisations and day to day operations. Your organisation may book onto more than one workshop.
There is an expectation that all participants will contribute to the workshop content through sharing their models of working and experiences within their own museums and heritage attractions.
