Roadmap out of Lockdown
The Prime Minister has presented the roadmap out of the current lockdown for England. This is a four step approach. Read the full guidance here.
Reopening businesses and venues in England guidance lists when specific parts of a museum business can welcome visitors.
Step 2 – no earlier than 12 April
- outdoor attractions will reopen at museums and galleries
- permitted businesses operating in otherwise closed attractions (such as a gift shop or a takeaway kiosk at a museum) may only open where they are a self-contained unit and can be accessed without entering the museum.
Step 3 – no earlier than 17 May
- indoor museums and galleries can reopen.
