Covid 19 Updates – Guided Tours
The government has updated its guidance on guided tours at heritage sites
Indoor guided tours can go ahead in tier 1 provided it is possible to ensure that groups of more than six (or larger if they are from one household/support bubble) do not mingle with each other. Indoor guided tours can go ahead in tier 2 if it is possible to ensure that groups of single households/support bubbles do not mingle on a guided tour. In tier 3 indoor attractions are closed.

Covid 19 Updates 24th November 2020 – Three Tier System
Three tier system from Wednesday 2 December
From Wednesday 2 December, the current national restrictions will end and England will return to a three-tier system of coronavirus restrictions. The government will announce which areas are in which tier on Thursday 26 November. We recommend that you read the government’s full guidance on the tier system and the COVID-19 Winter Plan.

MDY Small Grants and Covid Essentials Support now available
New Covid Essentials Support
In response to the ongoing crisis and demand from museums, we are launching Covid Essentials to help you better survive now and prepare to reopen and relaunch your site. We are encouraging projects of up to £500 with NO match funding. There is a total fund of £3,000 and we anticipate supporting around six projects.

National Restrictions from 5th November – Resources for your Museum
From Thursday 5th November until Wednesday 2nd December museums and galleries must close to the public. MDY and Arts Council England are working closely together to support your museum through the coming months and into the recovery and rebuilding phase.
