Museum Development Yorkshire is pleased to announce that it is sponsoring two FREE places at this year’s Museums Association Conference, 4-5 October held at Brighton Conference Centre. This place will cover both days of the conference, and an accommodation and travel bursary. The Museum Development Team will also offer networking support and conference tips to the successful candidate.
The theme of this year’s conference is Sustainable and Ethical Museums in a Globalised World, linked to current social and political upheaval, demographic changes, rising inequalities and climate change. It will look at how the sector can help to create a more sustainable world, how it can communicate challenges such as poverty and climate change to audiences and how museums can support campaigns that are working for a fairer and more sustainable society.
